Today is worship Sunday and I want to share with you my current favorite NIgerian worship song, Imela (Thank You) by Nathaniel Bassey. I hope you guys have a wonderful day in church as we worship our God, Father and Friend, thanking him for his continual blessings in our lives. God Bless.
We are loved, no matter who we are or what we’ve done. Not just because our family and friends love us, but because the one who gave us life loves us.
It’s that simple and yet easily forgotten. We often look for the complex and hard things, but forget that God is often in the simplest of things.
But imagine if we wake up everyday knowing that God loves us.
Imagine if we see ourselves through the eyes of the creator.
Imagine if we see everyone we come in contact with through the eyes of the one who created them.
I truly believe it will start off a love revolution…the love of God.
So let’s not forget these little things
The song ‘The Truth about Me’ from Grammy award artist Mandisa (who is one of my favourite artists) is a very good reminder about the way God sees us.
I love the bridge which says:
“I would sleep better at night
Wake up with hope for another day
I would love even if it costs me
Take a chance and know I’m gonna be okay
I would dare to give my life away….
It would change EVERYTHING if only I believed the truth about me”
Just heard this quote
“What the law required, grace fulfilled”
It reminded me of the song ‘How He Loves’ – Kim Walker. I especially love Anthony Evan’s version.
My favourite lyrics are
“If grace is an ocean, we all are sinking”
“I don’t have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way He loves us”
So grateful for God’s grace and his love.
Listen and enjoy the rest of your day knowing that you are loved.
What other songs come to mind concerning the grace of God? Please share.
I’m Eunice and the first thing you need to know about me is that I love Music! I think music is generally awesome. It’s a great way to express ourselves and what we feel. Music centered around the Creator of the Universe, God, is even more awesome and beautiful.
I grew up watching the Gaither Homecoming Videos and my Dad particularly loved Jesse Dixon. I have fond childhood memories of singing the different Gaither songs at home, in the car and at church. It was from there my love for music grew.
My goal for this blog is to talk about our favorite songs centered the creator. We’ll be featuring songs from The Gaither Vocal Band, Frank Edwards, Royal Tailor, Casting Crowns, Mandisa, Sammie Okposo and many more! I’ll also be reviewing albums and will be bringing you the latest concerning Christian Music.
So please stay tuned and don’t forget to comment,
Thanks and God Bless!
